INORDINATELY CONTORTED

Inordinately Contorted is a series of zines that delve into asemic writing and how letter forms can contorted into shapes and gestures that may be aesthetically pleasing yet lose their literary significance and become illegible. Asemic writing, by definition, is a form of mark-making that resembles letter forms, but has no

real meaning.

Each gesture and mark found through the zines are all based of four hand drawn letter forms: A, G, O, and H. The title of the project comes from the fact that the letter forms, in order to become gestures, were expanded, rotated, and twisted to an extreme degree, becoming contorted to inordinately degree.
