Off The Page

TYPECON

TypeCon Off The Page is a hypothetical branding, poster, design system, and merchandise project based off TypeCon if they hosted an event around typography exclusively created by or created with paper. The poster and design system is inspired by Nami Sakashita, a Japanese typographer who creates numerous designs based on the art form of Kiri-e, which roughly translates to

“Cut Artwork.”

People who attended Typecon would receive a rubrix’s cube inspired by Nami Sakashita’s use of square shapes, a lanyard, and a schedule.
